And I think alot of popular pairings (such as Spamo and UsUk) wouldn’t be possible because of the Westermarck Effect. The Westermarck effect is a phenomenon which has been observed in individuals who spend large amounts of time with each other under the age of six. People who are raised together, regardless of relationship, tend to become desensitized to each other, and they will not generally develop sexual attraction to each other later in life. A variety of studies have supported the concept of the Westermarck effect. That is actually interesting, but lol I’m still sailing dat Spamano ship 8D I’ve always thought this with most incest pairings, but with Hetalia, most pairings would fall under Westermarck Effect since many characters grew up with each other from childhood. That’d include FrUK, PolLiet, PruHun, Nordic pairings, SwissAus, FranSey and many more. The only exceptions I can think of are GerIta, GiriPan, and characters who don’t interact much in canon.  People forget that Hetalia characters aren’t exactly the same as real people :V
